Holiday Closure
All Raccoon Valley Bank branches will be closed on Thursday, June 19th, in observance of Juneteenth.
Contactless payments are significantly faster than traditional swiping or inserting methods by allowing you to simply tap to pay. Tap to pay transactions can be up to ten times faster, translating to shorter lines and quicker checkouts.
Contactless cards utilize secure chip technology that protects the cardholder's credentials by using unique codes to safeguard the debit card's communication with the card reader. Stolen or intercepted transaction data cannot be used for other transactions. This offers more robust protection against fraud.
Your old card will automatically be replaced with a new contactless debit card. This means your card number will change, but your account information will remain the same.
We made the decision to change to contactless debit cards as part of our ongoing commitment to continuously improve the benefits and services we deliver to our customers.
A contactless debit card allows you to make purchases by holding or tapping the card on a contactless enabled payment terminal. Debit cards that have the contactless technology feature a symbol of four vertical curved lines that increase in size from left to right.
No. Your contactless debit card is also equipped with traditional security chip technology, so you can still insert your debit card into a payment terminal.
